Before attending law school, attorney Francis Jerome “Jerry” Shea served in the U.S. Marine Corp and on the City of Miami Fire Department. Attorney Shea continues to hold himself to the highest level of discipline, loyalty and honor that was expected of him as a Marine and a firefighter.

Sergeant Shea proudly served as a communications expert in the Eighth Marine Regiment, Second Marine Division. In addition, he was a Marine Corps Drill Instructor and part of the Military Police Security Force, Southern Command.

Attorney Shea battled fires and participated in life-saving rescue operations during his tenure with the Miami Fire Department. As the department’s public relations spokesperson, attorney Shea wrote and produced a documentary film about the Miami Fire Department that was used for fire service training and public education.
